Parliament to address urgent Covid-19 measures

The 49th Cook Islands Parliamentary sitting, the first for 2020 will commence today, Wednesday March 25 starting at 1pm.

Due to the Covid-19 health measures currently in place and the country about to go from Code Blue to Code Yellow as part of the Covid-19 National Emergency Response, this will be a short sitting to address urgent matters of national importance.

Please be advised that Parliament will be live-streamed via their Facebook Page and through radio broadcast to members of the public on Rarotonga, the Pa Enua and overseas.

You will be able to watch and listen to the proceedings from your workplace and at home.

Social distancing and cleansing procedures are precautionary measures that will be enforced and all Members of Parliament, Parliamentary staff and associated contract workers will be following these with caution.

Parliament staff would like to encourage the public to please adhere to the same protocols.
