The additions include fingerprint ID for Android phones and TouchID log ins for iPhones and local bank and international transfers.
ANZ Regional Executive for the Pacific, Tessa Price, said: “Just six months ago we were the first bank to introduce a Pacific-wide mobile banking app. Since then, more than 16,000 people across the Pacific, including Cook Islands, have been using our ANZ Pacific App.
“In that time, we’ve seen a 120 per cent increase in the value of transfers made using the ANZ Pacific App. We know this figure will continue to grow as smartphone use increases across the region and more of our customers choose digital banking.”
ANZ Cook Islands head, Glenn Stewart, said: “We’re confident the ANZ Pacific App can make a big difference to the lives of Cook Islanders, particularly with new features like international transfers from a mobile phone.
“This is an example of how we can use innovation to deliver a new and better customer experience.”
Other new features: Availablity to Business Internet Banking customers; clients can schedule future dated and recurring payments and they can access existing templates created from internet banking.
