The Bank of the Cook Islands (BSP) with the support of the Cook Islands Game Fishing Club (CIGFC) two day annual Easter Fishing competition starts on Saturday morning at 6am; the event continues on Monday at the same time with the final weigh-ins at 6pm on both days.

 

All entries are required to pay up their full financial subscriptions and the registration fee of $20 at the fishing club premises in Tupapa.

Please take note of the fishing competition rules: the minimum weight of any fish species caught to be weighed in is 10kg, any Marlin fish weighed in must have a minimum weight of 90kg to be counted in; Giant Trevally’s will not be accepted and all fish must be caught on rod and reel only.

Live band, Nooroa and the Boys (Takepani) will provide entertainment on Saturday night.

The BSP prize giving awards will be held at 7pm on Monday along with a “kaikai” members please bring along a side dish (kinaki) the CIGFC will provide the meats.

Last year Buckley Junior won the grand prize of $1000 for BSP fishing competition last year.
