Titikaveka College names outstanding students
Outstanding senior students of Titikaveka College, Matamaru Tekoronga - runner up dux, Shane Tuteru - dux and Veivei Tauakume - first runner up dux. 21120717

Shane Tuteru, dux of Titikaveka College, was happy and humbled to receive the outstanding senior award at the school’s prizegiving event held on Tuesday.

“I’ve never really won any school prizes before so I’m feeling a bit proud of the hard work I’ve done,” he said.

Tuteru had been a former student of Nukutere College for some years, he transferred to Titikaveka College this year and looks forward to attending Tereora next year.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here and I’d like to encourage the students to work hard, aim high and listen.”

The Titikaveka college special awards for Year 11 are as follows: dux - Shane Tuteru, runner up dux - Matamaru Tekoronga, first runner up dux Veivei Tauakume. Most outstanding student - good character, leadership, community service, academic and sports - Penina Katuke, overall best sports person - Penina Katuke, junior sports person (Year 7 and 8) - Chris Pedersen, principal’s award for best attendance - Konini Kite. Year 11 awards: Kimberly Uini, Metua Douglas Foster Reddick, Batitoa Teiora, James Junior Niua, Penina Katuke, Temaria Rae, Brave Ngamata, Malachy Glassie-Whiting, Teau Maui and Junior Sila.

The Year 10 special overall prize awards were: first Teremoana Rae, second Jacob Arbuthnott, third Jadin Samuel, fourth equal Noah Albert and Lillian Aratangi. Special awards: Nau Ioana, Selwyn Short, Cecilia Emile, Iana Parima, Benjamin Tuakeu and Loveinio Oti.

The Year 9 special overall prize awards were: first Kimiora Vogel, second Arepapa Tua, third Matangaro Arama, fourth Rupe Mokoroa.

The Year 8 special overall prize awards were: first William Robertson, second Teina Vogel, third Raelyn Brothers, fourth Konini Kite.

The Year 7 special overall prize awards were: first Malea Maria Vogel, second Revas Hand, third Chris Pedersen, fourth Alexandra Rae.
