The National Auditorium Dome was a hive of activity with students visiting the well set up booths for the 2022 Careers Expo Day held yesterday afternoon.

Cook Islanders Lindsay Graham, John Strickland and Iain Howard, who work for Air New Zealand and reside in New Zealand, flew in to connect with students at the Careers Expo Day.

Te Mata Patai, a Year 12 student at Tereora College, said the Air New Zealand and Ministry of Marine Resources booths were her favourite.

“I’ve always wanted to travel and I love the ocean,” Patai said.

Moana Une, also a Year 12 student at Tereora, was most interested in the seabed minerals sector. Une is studying three different science fields and is a certified diver and has “always enjoyed the water”.
