Huge excitement as Christmas holidays begin

The Year 4 students at Papa’aroa School couldn’t contain their excitement for the very last day of school yesterday as they lined up outside their classroom to finish off the last few hours left of their school day.

They all expressed their excitement for Christmas just around the corner, confirming that they had all been “nothing but good this year” and couldn’t wait for all their presents, good Christmas food, and a visit from Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.

Rangi Opo who is in year four said he was most excited for all the Christmas lollies he has been eagerly awaiting all year.

“I’m excited to see Santa! He’s going to chuck us all the lollies when he comes on his truck in town!” he exclaimed.

His teachers, who sat laughing softly at the energy their students still had even towards the very few moments of the end of the last term, said that they were the last few who had decided to pull through and come to school to send the year off right.
