In a bid to strengthen its tourism statistics and research programme, the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation launched some innovative projects last week. The launch followed several months of preparation including testing of surveys with industry operators, and revision and refinement of the questions. The initiatives include the Cook Islands Business Confidence Index and Survey, Accommodation Monitor and a room stocktake.
