There’s much excitement ahead of this afternoon’s main rugby league clash between the in-form Titikaveka Bulldogs and hosts the Avatiu Eels.

The match is expected to be an epic showdown of top class club league action and one not to be missed.

The Bulldogs have stepped up their game in this second round of games and are proving to be a force to be reckoned with.

Recently the team disposed of defending champions the Tupapa Panthers in a tight battle before putting away the Arorangi Bears 28-18 on Tuesday in their catch-up game.

The Eels have also been in winning form and both sides will want to continue their late season fine form today.

In other club matches, the Takuvaine Warriors will host the Arorangi Bears at the Happy Valley in what is another intriguing match-up this

The Warriors will be buoyed by the fact they managed to keep the Sea Eagles to a 22-all draw in their catch-up game on Tuesday and this will no doubt fuel the young lads from the valley. Meanwhile, the Bears will be in dangerous form as they hunt to exact revenge after their loss on Tuesday.

At Nukupure Park in Muri, the under 19 game between the Sea Eagles and Panthers should be an exciting match of youthful talent.
