Cook Islands Touch Association (CITA) wrapped up its 2025 Business House Competition a week ago on Monday, March 31, at the National Stadium with an exciting Finals Series that featured some thrilling and hard-fought matches across all divisions.

In the TOA Division, Shadow Keepers claimed the championship title, with BSP Underdogs taking second place and the MFEMinators securing third.

The Moana Division saw Vikingz New Generation emerge as champions, followed by AIRNZ in second place, Soul Time in third, and JMUT in fourth.

In the top-tier Mana Division, Team TMS edged out Team KAPS in an exciting extra-time drop-off match to secure first place. The A Team took third, while Air Raro rounded out the top four.

The individual awards for the competition went to Akirata Short of Team TMS as Best Female Player and Viiga Reupena of Team KAPS as Best Male Player, both of whom delivered standout performances – particularly in the grand finals – and are truly deserving of the recognition.

Cook Islands Touch president, Vou Williams, extended his heartfelt gratitude to all participating teams, officials and generous sponsors who made the Business House Touch Competition a success.

Special thanks also go to our venue hosts, the Cook Islands Investment Corporation (CIIC).

Williams expressed his sincere “Meitaki Ranuinui to our amazing sponsors for your unwavering support, which helped us celebrate the hard work, passion and dedication of both our players and officials: Moana Sands Group, Vodafone Cook Islands, Bite Time Rarotonga and Soul Café and The Bond Store”.

“We also extend a big thank you to all the volunteers who contributed their time and efforts throughout the competition - your support truly embodies the spirit of our close-knit and family-oriented nation.”

Coming up on the Touch Rugby calendar is the Asia Pacific Youth Touch Cup, taking place in Brisbane, Australia this May.

Cook Islands Touch kindly invites the community to support its upcoming fundraising initiatives, which will be shared via the Cook Islands Touch Football Inc. Facebook page. Additionally, the annual touch season is set to kick off in mid-May — stay tuned for more details!
