The Rarotonga Football Season concluded its thrilling Round Cup competition over the weekend, resulting in a spectacular display of athletic prowess and sportsmanship from all the participating teams.

Beginning with the Prime Foods Under-6 Mix category, Titikaveka FC emerged victorious as this year’s champions, proving that their hard work and dedication had paid off. Following closely, Puaikura FC claimed the title for Prime Foods U8 Mix Champions after an intense season of fierce competition.

In the Prime Foods U10 Mix category, Titikaveka FC once again secured the championship title. This impressive double victory by Titikaveka FC showcases their prowess in nurturing young talents. Meanwhile, the Prime Foods U12 Champions Mix saw Nikao Sokattak FC triumphing over their opponents in a remarkable display of skill and teamwork.

Moving on to the higher age groups, Avatiu FC took home the BSP U15 Boys Championship title after demonstrating their exceptional skills on the field. The BSP U15 Girls Championship celebrated the success of Tupapa Maraerenga FC, adding another impressive victory to their legacy.

Continuing with this successful momentum, Tupapa Maraerenga FC managed to secure another victory as they claimed the U18 Men Champions title. Meanwhile, Avatiu FC gained an historical and well-deserved recognition by clinching The Islander Hotel Senior Women’s Champions trophy for the first time.

The highlight of Rarotonga’s football season came with Tupapa Maraerenga FC taking home the Tower Insurance Premiership title after months of intense clashes, making them a dominant force this season.

However, there is no pause for the grassroots and youth players as they continue their preparations for fierce competition ahead.

With knockout matches just around the corner – matches start this coming Wednesday – fans will be eagerly waiting to see the continued display of athleticism and skill that these talented footballers have to offer in the following games.
