The 3x3 basketball competition at the 2022 Cook Islands Beach Games resumed yesterday after some matches were postponed due to weather conditions and player safety concerns on Tuesday.

However the beach touch competition continued on Tuesday afternoon and was scheduled to end last night with finals at the Nikao beach courts.

Results from Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee (CISNOC) were not available yesterday. However G.A.T and Notchya emerged early favourites after day one competition on Monday.

“Exciting to see our upcoming future Touch players in the making. They were first up before the adults and inspiring to see our potikis learn the game. An action-packed day one at Beach Touch and the temperamental weather didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the games. Despite the wet and windy weather, the Touch competition continued (Tuesday). Awesome play by all teams with true Beach Games spirit!” CISNOC said in a Facebook post.
