The Rarotonga netball season hit off earlier this week on Wednesday, seeing clubs scrambling for players in the 11th hour to make up their teams.

A good crowd turned up to watch the Takuvaine vs Avatiu match, with Takuvaine dominating in both the Opens games.

A closer match between Tupapa and Arorangi saw president Mii Maui take the court for Arorangi, and Tehauarii Karotaua making a comeback to netball for Tupapa.

Locals and visitors are encouraged to visit your local court and watch today’s games.

The draw for today Saturday May 7 is as follows, with 11am starting times at the courts: Takuvaine vs Avatiu (to be played in Avatiu), Tupapa vs Arorangi (hosted in Tupapa), Ngatangiia vs Titikaveka (hosted in Ngatangiia).

Results from Wednesday May 4, 2022: Takuvaine vs Avatiu Open 1 game  31-17 to TKV, Open 2 game  36-21 to TKV; Tupapa vs Arorangi Open 1 game 23 - 16.
