LETTER: Prevention is better than cure

Dear Editor, I write to ask people like Mr Nubono, who came on TV the night before last, not to glibly say things like “Covid is not dangerous”; “not to worry”, “that it’s just a flu”, etc. Tell that to the families of about six million people around the world so far who have died from it.

Mr Nubono survived his experience because he is young (and possibly got a weak strain) but the next person might not be so lucky. He should not think for one minute his experience is going to be the same as the next person’s.

Shame on CITV for its continual biased reporting, showcasing its mates instead of doing some real reporting. CITV should be balancing this kind of outspoken nonsense with a warning from a TMO spokesman about continuing to be careful, especially if you have compromised immunity, are elderly, or very young. Deliver some balanced news please.

To everyone else please remember that old adage: prevention is better than the cure.
