Rotaract Rarotonga is organising a fundraising event this Saturday featuring CC Tamure at the Avatiu club house at 6:30 a.m.

The goal is to provide Punanga Turuturu Itivaine (PTI) Cook Islands Women's Support Centre with a safe and comfortable area to provide better services.

Rotaract Rarotonga requested their president, Toru Nooroa, to assist with getting some picnic tables for PTI.

To accomplish that goal, Rotaract approached CC Tamure to request a collaboration for a fundraiser.

Nooroa said this Saturday’s proceeds will go to PTI, to purchase BBQ tables for counselling sessions that are outside the PTI office for women.

Rotaract is grateful to Alex Olah of Arorangi Timberland, for supporting Rotaract with two BBQ tables, as well as offering a free delivery and assembling service.

According to Dorinda Sitiveni, Rotaract’s treasurer, they decided the theme of the fundraising event is based on the colours of PTI’s logo, pink, green and purple.

Sitiveni encourages the ladies in Rarotonga “Tickets are $10 per person and we are inviting women from all walks of life, culture religion, age groups, professions etc. to dress up in your green, pink and purple outfit and purchase a ticket to support this women’s organization in the services they provide for our women here in the Cook Islands.” The event will begin at 6:30am.
