A significant increase in the number of men getting their health checked is a positive sign they are taking seriously the men’s health campaign message – “Get yourself checked”.

George George, a driver of the “Movember” movement, says Dr Rangiau Fariu is striving to keep up with the appointments.

“It is good to see and know that men are taking note of the message; and many people have come forward to sponsor our campaign.

“I’m really humbled too that the Prime Minister Mark Brown is also behind the cause, to encourage our men,” said George.

The Cook Islands Christian Church of Avarua are hosting a men’s evening tonight at the Sinai Hall at 6pm to help spread the gospel of men’s health.
