Rarotonga residents enjoyed a night out at The Village Eatery in Titikaveka last Sunday, to celebrate Mother’s Day and enjoy some delicious food, music and BYO drinks.

Eatery owner Oz Tunupopa, said the night celebrated Mother’s Day as well as promoting local music and talent.

“It’s something me and the wife had thought about when we were back in New Zealand last year, visiting the old man, who ran the café for five years.

“We thought how we could change it, and thought of a restaurant in the evenings.”

Rehab nightclub owner Scott Arlander, aka DJHAB, provided the music and said: ‘This is the fourth time we have played here on a Sunday, and has been really cool.

“It’s a great place for people to chill out, enjoy some nice food and atmosphere with some different kinds of music.

“There’s not a lot happening on a Sunday, especially on the south side of the island.”
