Imanuela Akatemia is making a good progress with the 2021 academic year. The 2021 academic year started with term one studies on January 25.

The Muri-based Imanuela Akatemia, which offers Year 1 to 13 studies, welcomed 85 students this year.

School principal Tevai Matapo said the numbers picked up slightly from last year.

The school has five teachers, five teacher aids and three special needs teachers.

Two weeks ago, the school held its prefect investiture ceremony which was also attended by some parents.

Imanuela Akatemia this week completed its annual review with Ministry of Education and Matapo says things are looking good for the school.

The school is using the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum as its core, blending in with Cook Islands curriculum subjects of Mathematics, English, Word Building (spelling), Social Studies, Science, Literature and Creative Writing, and Bible subjects.

Imanuela Akatemia also offers Health and Physical Education and Cook Islands Maori classes.
