A Cook Islands luxury and boutique beachfront resort group has claimed five continental and local titles in the World Travel Awards 2020.

Pacific Resort Hotel Group is delighted that its boutique properties have been recognised by the highly regarded World Travel Awards for 2020.

Pacific Resort Rarotonga received Oceania’s Leading Family Resort 2020 award; Little Polynesian claimed Cook Islands’ Leading Boutique Hotel 2020 while Te Manava Luxury Villas & Spa was awarded Cook Islands’ Leading Villa Resort 2020.

Pacific Resort Aitutaki won Oceania’s Leading Resort 2020 and Cook Islands’ Leading Resort 2020.

Pacific Resort Hotel Group chief executive officer Marcus Niszow said the staff and management were honoured to have received these awards.

These accolades are proof that Pacific Resort Hotel Group enjoys continued success in delivering its mission of providing authentic boutique accommodation with world class hospitality in the Covid-19 free Cook Islands.

“Winning these Awards of Excellence is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our wonderful team and sends a reassuring message to everyone who is looking forward to travel again to our resorts amid these uncertain times,” Niszow said.

“As we prepare to welcome back visitors to the Cook Islands, they can be certain our award-winning standard of excellence extends to their personal well-being and the extraordinary measures we are taking to ensure the health and safety of our guests and hard-working staff.”

Independently hailed by the Wall Street Journal as the “Travel industry’s equivalent to the Oscars”, the World Travel Awards are the most comprehensive and prominent awards programme in global travel industry today.

The Oceania region defined in these awards includes Australia, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, and Samoa among other Pacific nations.
