Three teenagers, all aged 19, were forbidden from driving in the early of hours of Sunday on Rarotonga.

Police spokesman Trevor Pitt said it added to a weekend of incidents which also included a crash, burglary, domestic disputes and noise complaints.

Pitt said police prevented three teenagers, one of them in breach of a learner licence, from driving, while a further two motorists were reported to the police for their driving.

Police are awaiting the result of a blood test after a motorcyclist reportedly crashed at the roundabout at Avarua in the early hours of Saturday.

They were called to the scene just before 3am to find a male driver lying on the road, being assisted.

He was transported by ambulance, and a blood specimen was sought in what police suspect was an alcohol-related incident.

A carton of beer was reported stolen in the burglary of an Arorangi address.

Pitt said a glass door was smashed to gain entry to the property.
