The accused of a fatal hit-and-run incident in Arorangi in late January, has denied the charge of dangerous driving causing death.
Renee Junior Daniel who is accused of dangerously driving causing the death of an elderly woman pleaded not guilty to the charge.
However, through his lawyer Jamie Crawford, Daniel pleaded guilty to the charge of failing to render assistance.
The case is adjourned to May 30 to allocate a trial date for the defendant.

Poe Poila who has been held in custody since last week has had his case adjourned to May 30.
Poila is the co-accused of a wilful damage charge that also involves sporting executive Romani Katoa.
Defence lawyer Jamie Crawford said Katoa has not entered a plea and was seeking another adjournment.

A man accused of cultivating cannabis in Atiu is waiting on his psychological report as well as Legal Aid assistance.
The man who remains under interim name suppression also faces a charge of possession of cannabis, possession of utensil and arson.
Crown Law prosecutor Tom White said the defendant has no legal representation and has not made any bail application.
It was earlier reported that the case involved the arrest and seizure of over 40 cannabis plants from the defendant’s property in Atiu.
The plants ranged from seedlings to mature plants, found during a follow-up investigation stemming from a separate disturbance complaint.

A man who is charged for two counts of indecent assault and entering with intent has had his case adjourned to May 30.
Marika Ratulailai, whose name is no longer suppressed, was represented by defence lawyer Jamie Crawford.
