About a decade ago, a Rarotonga teenager lost his life in nearly two-hour police pursuit. Questions surrounding high speed police pursuits have again come to light after a senior government official – who was subsequently tested twice over the legal blood alcohol limit – was caught in a middle of a chase that resulted in damages to government vehicles.
