Kaumaiti Nui Travel Tou, Marino Wichman, Minister of Natural Resources Mark Brown, Teresa Manarangi Trott and Pastor Tutai Pere look on as invitations for tenders to conduct deep sea exploration of blocks of the Cook Islands seabed went live yesterday morning. Countries interested in exploring the Cook Islands seabed for minerals can now submit tenders to carry out research.

The Cook Islands can officially start accepting bids from companies wanting to explore the ocean floor for minerals in the country’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
