When legendary Cook Islands musician Will Crummer stepped off the plane and on to the tarmac at Rarotonga Airport on Wednesday afternoon,

he proved that despite being away from home for nearly 55 years, he still had his island boy moves and charm.

Will was accompanied by his band the Royal Rarotongans and his talented songstress daughter Annie Crummer who last visited the island in 1992 for the Pacific Arts Festival.

Their arrival on Wednesday was clearly an emotional one. Annie shed tears of delight as the Vaka Takitumu dance team welcomed the group home with drums and dancing, while dad Will also joined the dancing. Today we share some of the moving moments from Will and Annie Crummer’s emotional and joyful return to the Cook Islands.
