The Chevening Scholarship is the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations.

The scholarships are a fantastic opportunity to study for a fully funded one-year’s Master’s degree at any of the UK’s leading universities. They are awarded to outstanding emerging leaders across a wide range of fields including: politics, government, business, the media, the environment, civil society, religion, and academia.

In addition to the academic opportunities the scholarships provide, the programme provides a unique opportunity for scholars to build a global network of professional significance, establish social, cultural, academic, or commercial partnerships and to experience a year living in the UK.

Chevening will support over 1500 scholars from over 160 countries this year and there are over 50,000 Chevening alumni around the world who together comprise an influential and highly global network.

Applications for the 2022/22 Chevening Scholarships should be submitted online at Applicants should read the online guidance and demonstrate how they meet the Chevening selection criteria before submitting an application. The key criteria for applicants are an undergraduate degree and two years’ work experience.
