Tereora College has lodged a complaint with the police about a missing data projector.

School principal Tania Morgan confirmed this was not a break in, adding the projector went missing during school hours from a classroom.

Morgan said they were following relevant process and have reported the matter to police.

Police spokesperson Trevor Pitt said they are still looking into the case and no one has been arrested.

Police are also looking for an alleged “wayward” driver of a vehicle that damaged a hedge on the Tutakimoa backroad early Saturday morning.

Pitt said they are yet to identify the driver and the vehicle.

He said the driver fled the scene leaving behind the damage, including part of the vehicle.

“It is evident the vehicle involved has sustained some damage to its front bumper area.”
