Head injured in bike smash

An expatriate worker suffered head injuries in a motorbike accident on the Takuvaine backroad this weekend.

The crash was early on Saturday morning. Police are waiting on blood specimens to determine whether he had been drinking alcohol.

Police spokesperson Trevor Pitt said the man sustained injuries to the head and he was found bleeding from the ear.

Another crash was reported on Friday night at the Nikao seawall.

Pitt said in other cases, one person was arrested for drink-driving on Sunday morning and another driver was forbidden late Friday.

Meanwhile, Pitt said there were other minor incidents were reported such as break-ins on Saturday in Tupapa and Panama.
