The stage is set for the grand final of the 2025 Cook Islands Cricket T20 Super Slam at Turangi Oval in Ngatangiia this afternoon.

The King Wolves and Tiger Sharks are ready to clash in what promises to be an electrifying finale to a thrilling tournament.

Following six weeks of hard-fought round robin action, the top two sides – King Wolves and Tiger Sharks – both finished with identical records of four wins and two losses, earning the top playoff seeds.

The Wolves secured first place on net run rate and used that advantage to win their opening playoff match and book a direct spot in the final.

The Sharks, after stumbling in their first playoff outing, clawed their way back through the semi-final, defeating the Onu in a commanding performance last weekend.

Their victory sets up a much-anticipated rematch against the Wolves, with both sides aiming for their first T20 Super Slam crown.

The tournament’s surprise storyline came in the 3rd vs 4th elimination match, where the Onu, previously winless in their first five games, won their final round robin match. The side showing improving form, stunned defending champions Oceans 11 to eliminate them from title contention.

The result sent shockwaves through local cricket fans and opened the door for a fresh championship rivalry to emerge.

With the Wolves bringing aggressive top-order firepower and the Sharks boasting the tournament’s sharpest bowling attack, this grand final is shaping up to be a classic.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early, with the coin toss at 12:30pm ahead of the first ball at 1pm.
