Turangi will take on arch-rivals and preliminary-round winners Tupapa in the men’s showdown while Muri will take on Turangi in the women’s final.
Muri, which are the only unbeaten team this season with eight consecutive wins, are favourites for the women’s title.
The side will be led by their batting greats Matina Thorpe, Phillica Maruariki and Punanga Kaveao and supported by their fierce bowlers Jasmanda Tuaputa and Memory Kauvai.
Skipper and all-rounder Kaveao is anticipating a tough battle from the newcomers.
She said they have been polishing on their weak links to ensure a shining performance against Turangi.
Turangi, which lost two matches this season, both to Muri, are hoping to pull off a major surprise in the final.
The side will be led by Mona More, Tekura Kaukura and Josephine Maoate in batting while June George and Kaukura in bowling.
“We are treating this match like any other game. There is no pressure on us,” Turangi coach Amoa More said.
In the men’s final, Turangi is leaving no stone unturned in their bid to retain the title.
The side, which lost three matches this season to Matavera, Tupapa and Titikaveka Titans, is hoping to repeat last year’s feat.
Turangi will be led by their experienced batsman Vane Tangimetua Sr alongside Tiri Toa and young Mapu Maoate.
“We are the defending champions and we will go into the match with the mentality to win,” team official Amoa said.
Tupapa, which heads into the clash as the favourites, will rely on the likes of top batsmen Melody Melota, Wayken Punga and Kunta Ritawa.
Daniel Vailoa and Jr Korua will spearhead their bowling attack. - Rashneel Kumar
