Challenging clashes in mixed Touch competition

The Bluesky mixed-touch competition featured Tereora against the ICI Transformers.

ICI were in good form and proved too much for the hardworking Tereora team last Wednesday. With superior speed and experience ICI ran away with the game winning 10-1.

Tereora still managed to cross the line and score through their speedster and try scoring machine Mr Evans.

The second game was another thrilling game between Bluesky and General Transport.

GT played the entire first half with only five players. Bim Tou took charge as the play maker for GT and Levi Teinaki for Bluesky.

Both teams used their girls well with a few tries being scored by them. At the restart of the second half GT took advantage of a slowly regrouping Bluesky and with a quick turn of speed Kiki Sword crossed the try line to score.

With their tails up GT continued to apply pressure using their speedsters to eventually run out winners by 6 to 5.

KAPS was just too strong and scored touchdowns at will against a hardworking Airport.  However, Airport fought back and crossed the KAPS line to post up two tries despite going down 9 to 2.
