IT WAS a busy Wednesday for two sporting codes in Rarotonga this week.

Cook Islands Volleyball resumed its weekly 4 on 4 Beach Volleyball League after three weeks break at the National Courts in Nikao while the Cook Islands Touch Association held its friendly games in build up to their 2017 season.

The beach volleyball competition brought five teams who battled in the round-nine matches.

The Quick Sets remain the force to reckon with after another win against a resilient Wild Side Wild Ones.

In the touch competition, two matches were held among the players that turned up at Nikao Field.

The women kicked off the competition followed by the men’s clash.

The touch competition proper is expected to get underway next week.
