Defending champions 007 let the bullets fly in the mixed tough rugby showdown on Wednesday last week at Nikao Field.

The impressive side which remained unbeaten throughout the season stamped their authority over a depleted Southcoast Scorpions who struggled with the pace of the game.

007 eased through with a well-deserved 4-1 win over the scrambling Scorpions.

In the other matches, ICI Transformers defeated Nukz Power 7-6 to claim the third spot, Mangaia defeated Top Kopz 5-0 while Arona T Bags overcame Team ATT 7-5.

Cook Islands Touch Association president Daphne Brown thanked the teams and players for their effort in the weekly games.

“We have had a good season with good team numbers in mixed competition with many new and young players,” Brown said.

“The next competition will be a one day mixed tournament during Constitution Celebrations where teams will represent our islands.

“We would like to thank our major sponsors CITC and Bluesky for their generous support.”
