Rain marred the domestic touch rugby men’s and women’s competition semi-finals at Nikao Field on Monday.

Following the preliminary rounds of competition, the knockouts were scheduled for Monday, but continuous rain forced the organisers to postpone the games to next Monday. Nukz Power finished on top in the women’s grade followed by 2 Sharp, FBI and Bounty Hunters after the preliminary rounds of competition.

In the men’s open, Germinators emerged on top followed by Quick Eze, Airport Jetz and Manatoa. The organisers are hoping for a better weather tomorrow, when teams in the mixed grade take the field in the top four battle.

“Mixed competition sees the winners of last week’s quarter-finals play the semi–finals for a chance to play in next week’s grand finals. The losers from last week’s quarter-finals play off for placings,” Cook Islands Touch president Daphne Brown said.
