Time changes, business end for touch

Monday was the final round of games for the open men’s and women’s touch rugby competition, while today the mixed division will continue with their round games – with new time changes.

The first game today kicks off at 5pm with the Tereora College mixed team taking on Nukz Power on field one.

On field two at the same time, the “never underestimate” Mongoose crew will meet Telecom Cook Islands.

The next games will run at 5.24pm with the talented mix of stalwarts and rising stars in the Live Free crew taking on the Northern Stormers on field one while the 1MFEM side with battle with team MOE on field two.

The next scheduled games will kick off at 5.48pm where team Justice will take on the BCI Transactions on field one while team Tumeke Smurfs will meet Westpac on field two.

The last games of the evening will be played out at 6.12pm with the dynamic 007 going up against Maritime Cook Islands on field one and the MFEM Kings taking on the Wackies on field two.

In the open women’s division, the experienced Bounty Hunters ladies are top of the table and outscored opponents Kaos on Monday 4-1.

Team Kaos is third on the points table.

FBI, who is second on the table, edged out an enthusiastic Nukz Power 3-2.

Nukz Power are fourth on the open women’s points table.

Meanwhile team Kimiora established their dominance over Vaine Toa to win 5-0.

Kimiora are fifth on the women’s points table while Vaine Toa bring up the rear on sixth.

In the open men’s division – top of the table Da Ropaz were given a scare when the valiant Western Stallions, sitting in fourth place on the points table, played well to stay in the game although they had to settle for a one point 5-4 loss.

Second on the open men’s points table is Nukz Power followed by Itiki Power.
