Football qualifiers to go on

The OFC Champions League Qualifiers will go ahead with the opening round despite the recent heavy downpours in Rarotonga.

The champion clubs from Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga arrived on Wednesday and have begun their preparations for the OFC Champions league qualifiers, kicking off tomorrow at the CIFA Complex in Matavera.

Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) is hosting the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League Qualifiers from January 26 to February 1 at the CIFA complex in Matavera.

In the CIFA Knockout Cup men’s final between the top two sides, Tupapa Maraerenga FC made a great comeback to beat Nikao Sokattak FC 3-2 on Saturday.

After a semifinal weekend that delivered maximum drama, there is plenty to look forward to ahead of the CIFA Knockout Cup Final between Tupapa Maraerenga and Nikao Sokattak in the 4pm Senior Men’s clash at the CIFA Complex.

The 2018 CIFA Knockout Cup title will be on the line today when the U-8 mixed, U-11 mixed and U-17 Men’s teams square off at the CIFA Complex.
