After the festival had to be postponed the previous week because of heavy rain it wasn’t looking to great on Tuesday either, but a chance was taken and there were periods of showers but the children were engaged and enjoying themselves too much to stop.
Learning why it is so important to eat breakfast and the many different foods that help to kick start your brain, body and day in a positive way was an interesting discussion as only half the children had breakfast that day, says festival organiser Michelle Paiti.
The field was buzzing with energetic kids eager to have a go at the different fun activities put on by soccer, netball, cricket, athletics and the fun station.
It’s really important to stay active during these cooler months so look out for the next festival set to take place in Arorangi on the June 11.
