Paavo Mustonen started off the scoring for Tupapa Maraerenga in the 27th minute from a spot kick.
Nikao Sokattak immediately came back and leveled the game through a Julius David goal, assisted by Mark Leito.
Mustonen had a golden opportunity to gain lead in the 38th minute, but the lanky striker was unable to capitalise on that chance.
Both sides had good spells of possession with some half chances, which went mostly in Nikao Sokattak’s favour.
They went into the break tied at 1-all.
Wasting no time in the second period, David set up an opportunity for Toru Mateariki in the 48th minute and the youngster showed neat footwork in the box before lofting a fine shot past Tupapa goalie Manaariki Pierre to gain the lead 2-1.
Minutes later Nikao Sokattak earned a penalty kick and David stepped up to the plate but his effort was denied by Pierre.
Tupapa Maraerenga fought back but were unable to find target before David scored his second to seal the 3-1 win for Nikao Sokattak.
