After recording their first win against Matavera in round one of the 2017 Rarotonga football season, the Takuvaine premier men’s team will return to the field with high hopes and will be striving to increase their defensive output against a speedier and skilful pack in Nikao Sokattak.
They are preparing well and are determined to contend with the home side, who also put three points on the board in their opening match when they overcame Avatiu 3-0 last week.
Playing as a unit will be a focal point of improvement for Takuvaine moving forward.
As for Nikao Sokattak’s strengths, the team’s speed will help open scoring opportunities throughout the season.
With a lot riding on this game, spectators will not want to miss a minute of the action, with kick off set for 4pm.
In the other premier men’s match, Avatiu faces an uphill battle at home going up against the defending champions Puaikura.
Momentum early in the match will be key for Avatiu to secure a win.
These three points at home could be crucial.
Today’s matches will kick off 12.30pm with the under-14 girl’s division. - CIFA Media
