Rising Stars Netball continues

For the second week in a row, only a single game will take place in the premier grade in round six of the Rising Stars Netball Championship.

Manureva Aquafest finished on a high yesterday with a fun-filled activity day at Ootu Beach, Aitutaki, to celebrate five days of impressive water sport action including course racing, freestyle kitesurfing tricks and big-air jumps.

Students from Apii Avarua spent time in the water this week, getting hands-on experience on how they and future generations can help monitor protect Rarotonga’s reefs and lagoon.

Tereora College dance students treated their audience to an exciting variety of dance styles at the National Auditorium on Thursday night.

Miss Cook Islands, Alanna Smith visited Araura College on Thursday as a special guest during Manureva Aquafest held in Aitutaki. 

Hoping to get a leg up on the competition, St Joseph’s School were the first of the island’s primary school to hold their school athletics competition at the National Auditorium on Thursday.

Penrhyn ‘an afterthought’

Despite one of them having been in hospital a day before the vessel Nivaga III was due to depart on Monday, a group of ill Penrhyn Islanders were told they had no option but to take the four-day voyage home on the ship.
