Cook Islands Rugby Union (CIRU) is hoping to field some age group teams in round two of the Rarotonga Club 15s competition this weekend.

After failing to attract most of the age group teams last weekend at the Happy Valley field, CIRU development manager Ben Koteka hopes for a better turnout at Raemaru Park in Arorangi which will host the juniors, under-13 and U16s matches tomorrow.

Koteka said with Te Maeva Nui preparations underway, most of the youngsters were involved in the dance practices with their respective groups part of the annual celebrations.

In the Senior A match of the week, Arorangi Cowboys will host the Tupapa Panthers.

In the other Senior A match, the Bulls will host defending champions Avatiu Nikao Eels, not the Reds as earlier reported, in Titikaveka.
