Two New Zealand high schools are looking for potential rugby players for the upcoming season.

There is a sporting and academic scholarship pathway opportunity for potential rugby players aged 15 to 17 years of age to attend the Kings High School in Dunedin and St Peters College in Auckland.

This opportunity came about via Cook Islander and current Otago Mitre 10 Cup captain Sam Anderson-Heather, who is currently in Rarotonga preparing for the Cook Islands versus Hong Kong match to be played on Saturday next week.

“If you are aged between 15 to 17 years of age and interested in this rugby/academic scholarship opportunity, please report to the Tupapa Field on Monday, June 25 before 4.30pm for registration and then to be followed by fitness testing.

Please bring your running shoes/rugby boots and a bottle of water,” said Cook Islands Rugby Union development manager Ben Koteka.
