The Cook Islands Rugby Union (CIRU) will host its annual Bluesky U13 Rugby 10s Tournament at the Arorangi Rugby Field from 3pm today.

This year’s tournament will have six teams from Avarua, Arorangi, Nukutere, Papaaroa and a Barbarians team (combined Nikao/Imanuela/Te Uki Ou) participating. The tournament will end with another tussle on Wednesday next week.

“Avarua School are the reigning champions,” said CIRU development manager Ben Koteka.

Some players from the Cook Islands 15s squad will also be present to help and assist some of the teams on the day, he said.

“Once again CIRU would like to acknowledge the wonderful support from our major sponsor Bluesky – thank you for your continued support that encourages our youth to stay active.

“To the parents and supporters, come out and watch our rugby stars of tomorrow in action at the Arorangi Rugby Field from 3pm on Wednesday.”
