Our end game is to promote a solid message of “Healthy Lifestyles” and community spirit. We are all about giving our community opportunities.
Being able to coordinate with amazing players including Liam Messam and Pita Gus and managers like Deon Smith to provide workshops on training and technique is so very valuable. They have worked alongside Tanya Brown, our New Zealand-based professional sports physio to provide information, training and services to our teams and community and we thank them so much for their support.
Then there are the fantastic New Zealand referees who have been coming to this tournament for over five years, giving their expertise, knowledge and time.
We are extremely fortunate to have their support.
To all our awesome sponsors, partners and supporters, it is a privilege to work with you all on this and we look forward to do it all again in 2018.
A huge meitaki maata for coming on board and seeing the vision that we have towards making the Raro Rugby Sevens a leading event in the South Pacific.
Events Rarotonga is passionate and motivated to create events that inspire, encourage, and, develop the people of the Cook Islands.
This includes empowering and educating our people and we love the fact that teams and players from Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti and the Cook Islands have come together for three days of sporting fun and friendship and to support our vision.
Meitaki maata also to our volunteers who are a vital part of this event.
We appreciate you and your work along with that of the health professionals, to keep things safe and our match officials for keeping it real! All supported by Raro ITM.
To the ball boys, our local refs, linespeople, scorers, team managers, security, caterers, food vendors, retailers, MC’s, scoreboard team, our design team GRD, our ANZ gates people, and our ticketing queen Mary, the helping hands crew and all who have assisted - we are a great team with you all.
To those coming along to the Sevens, don’t forget to dress up - you could be in to win on Saturday in the IDCK costume parade.
