Top physio to run sports injury workshops

With Club Raro the hub of great events for the Raro Rugby 7’s they are excited to announce the “Don’t Be Hero - Fix That Injury” workshops.

 

NZ sports physiotherapist Tanya Browne will be at Club Raro running three sessions on how to treat sports injuries, and proper strapping techniques.

Tanya Browne, BHSc Physiotherapy, Post Graduate Diploma Sports Medicine, has over 18 years of experience with sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

She has been the International Rugby 7s physio for Tonga (2004-2007) and the Cook Islands (2015/2016).

Currently the head physiotherapist for the Auckland Rugby International Academy and company director of Sports Physio (NZ) Ltd in Auckland, as well as the physio for the New Zealand Women’s U18s Sevens Team 2017 Raro Rugby 7’s, she is very excited to have the opportunity to share her knowledge and skills at the tournament.

“I have a strong interest in injury prevention, rehabilitation and sports-specific injury management,” Browne said.

“I love Rugby 7s, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and educating others. I am thrilled to be the official physio sponsor for the Raro 7s 2017.”

Tanya who goes on to advise, “I will be offering physio services at Club Raro, and at the Raro 7s Tournament at affordable prices.

“I am also really pleased to be able to run several free workshops covering sports taping, concussion management and injury prevention.
