The paddling feast continued with another exciting day during the Matson Vaka Eiva 2015 yesterday at Avarua wharf.

Teams competed in the Matson Iron Challenges in various grades in the men’s and women’s categories.

Under the sweltering sun, the paddlers were made to work hard in unfavourable conditions with high swells putting them down.

The races were also cut short to suit the conditions during the day.

The Oe Mapu V6 marathon races will be held today followed by open mixed and masters mixed Round Raro Relays (36 kilometre) race.

Teams will be competing for Bob Worthington Memorial Trophy in the Round Raro Relays.  - Rashneel Kumar
