Arorangi claim Kumete Sports Day

Arorangi claimed the Kumete Sports Day in a close battle with arch-rivals Avatiu in track and field events at the National Stadium on Monday.

Athletics Cook Islands will be hosting the 2019 Kumete Sports Day at the National Stadium in Nikao on Monday.

Cook Islands men’s tennis team has suffered a major blow in Pacific Nations Cup held in Fiji.

For the second consecutive year, Fiji is hosting the Pacific Nations Cup, funded by the International Tennis Federation, as part of their commitment to provide high level team competition to Class C nations in a Davis/Fed Cup Format.

Anderson wins tennis opener

The Cook Islands Tennis women’s rep Tamara Anderson won her first match in the Oceania Tennis Federation (OTF) Nations Cup Pacific tournament in Fiji on Monday (CI time).

The Aitutaki Marathon “Pursuit in Paradise” event got an extra promotional boost recently when 2019 race competitor Damian Grasela hit the streets of London for the Hackney Half Marathon wearing his distinctive and colourful Pursuit in Paradise race shirt.

Father Jason Pierre and daughter Ruby will represent the Cook Islands along with well-known tennis player Brett Baudinet and Tamara Anderson, at the Oceania Tennis Federation (OTF) Nations Cup Pacific tournament in Fiji next week from May 28 to June 3.

The Canoe & Kayak Cook Islands annual race season ends in May each year following the Asia Pacific Cup and the programme celebrated their achievements at their annual prize giving ceremony at Trader Jacks a week ago.
