Runway a first for cyclists

Bright and early yesterday morning, 38 cyclists took part in the inaugural Air New Zealand Runway Time Trial.

Adverse weather on Saturday provided a tough challenge for the competitors in the 24th Air New Zealand Rarotonga Triathlon.

Torrential rain that affected the 24th Air New Zealand Rarotonga Triathlon failed to deter New Zealander Sam Kettle from achieving the mission he set out for, over the weekend.

Special hash run in Arorangi

Monday’s hash run no 1993 will be set by Grapes & Jigs and will be from the beachside section next to Sunset Resort in Arorangi.

Roland Neururer will be the top local bet in the 24th Air New Zealand Rarotonga Triathlon, which will be held today at the Tikioki Tri Site from 1.30pm.

Most of the 95 participants registered for the 24th Air New Zealand Rarotonga Triathlon are expected to compete in today’s Boiler Swim event at Trader Jacks.
