Dreena Teapa (13) has been playing tennis for six years and it’s evident in the power and precision of her serve.

The Tennis Cook Islands junior elite player said usually they are required to train up to five times a week, but these school holidays, they’ve been given a little rest and hit the court for serve drills and friendly matches three times a week.

Tennis coach Malcolm Kajer said the Tennis Cook Islands School Holiday Programme has once again seen at least 60 young up and coming tennis stars, head along to the tennis courts.

They had to postpone the start of the programme due to bad weather, but it hasn’t dampened anyone’s spirits or enthusiasm.
