The team to the Pacific Games in Samoa will arrive in two charter flights, the first one at 11am followed by 6pm.
The Games which went for two weeks ended last night with Team Cook Islands managing 18 medals – five gold, five silver and eight bronze medals.
The 11am flight will bring members of the soccer, netball, sailing and touch teams followed basketball, tennis and athletics teams in the final flight. The first batch of athletes who competed in the opening week of the Games returned home last Saturday.
Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee in a statement said: “If you can, come down. Bring an extra ei. Bring a smile. Bring your Cook Islands spirit.
“Anticipating lots of drumming and singing and dancing and embrace and tears of joy. Let’s celebrate all of our successes, as a country!”
The codes who have already returned, are also requested to join the rest of the team in any one of the Team Cook Islands apparel.
New Caledonia won the Pacific Games with 75 gold, 54 silver and 51 bronze medals followed by Papua New Guinea (40 gold, 57 silver and 34 bronze) and Samoa coming in third with 38 gold, 41 silver and 44 bronze medals.
