The Rarotonga Golf Club hosted the Air New Zealand Tournament at the Nikao Golf Course on Saturday last week.

The stableford event, played under perfect conditions, attracted 95 members who battled tooth and nail for some amazing prizes proudly sponsored by Air New Zealand.

With only 10 main prizes up for grabs, a few members came back with close scores, managing to squeeze their way through to the top 10 position.

Club deputy captain Tukai Engu switched on his game and managed to pull himself to the very top with a gross of 77 and 42 stableford to walk away with $1200 travel voucher courtesy of Air New Zealand.

“On behalf of the members and executive of the club I would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to Marisa (Newman) and her team at Air New Zealand for their never-ending support in the past years - and still ongoing. And for your kind sponsorship again this year,” club president George George said.

“The Air New Zealand event has always been a major tournament that members look forward to every year and the number of golf club members seems to be growing every year.”
