It was evident from the first serve that it was going to be an epic battle especially with the inclusion of Adrianna Skurosz in team Vaiakura, who played a pivotal part in securing the win.
But it was Damus Matakino and Whitney Henry who really stepped up for team Vaiakura, despite facing a more experienced Landcourt services team were able to win their mix doubles 31 – 25.
And the shocking results kept coming as top team PHAB Beauties came under fire from a revved-up Stormers team, who brought down the Beauties 4–3.
Stormers were happy to have U15 CI Rep Kariana Hagai back from Mitiaro and they hope they can continue their winning streak in the finals.
Mama T’s Takeaway have sealed themselves a spot in the top four after Dazzling Cubs were unable to field a full team.
It was bittersweet for Dazzling Cubs who were leading 3–1, and were only one match and one player away from taking a deserved spot in the top four.
This Tuesday evening will be the semi-finals, where the top four and bottom four teams will battle for a spot in the Grand Final next Tuesday, November 7.
